I am a Certified Independent Medical Examiner (ABIME), Accredited Mediator, Health Manager and Medical Practitioner in good standing with the HPCSA and BHF.

I established Assurance Medical Consulting in 2012, which is a privately owned non-clinical independent medical advisory service provider which specializes in 3 key areas:

1. Medico-legal Assessments and Medicolegal Report Compilation: Personal Injury, RAF and Medical Negligence matters
2. Mediation of Medical Negligence and Commercial Disputes
3. Medical Advisory Services: Legal, Healthcare and Insurance industries

I specialize in medicolegal matters, especially medicolegal mediation and personal injury assessments, based on my extensive clinical experience in the clinical management of people with neurological and physical impairments at a private rehabilitation center, after serving as the Senior Medical Doctor at the Life New Kensigton Clinic from 2003 to 2012.

I have served on the HPCSA RAF Appeal Tribunal for 2 years (2014/2015).

I have also served as an Independent Medical Advisor for a Managed Healthcare Administrator for 4 years (2012 to 2016) and I am currently appointed as a Medical Advisor to a multi-national insurance company.

I am an active member of the SAIHCS (South African Institute of Health Care Managers), SASCA (South African Spinal Cord Association),SANRA (South African Neuurological Rehabilitation Association) and MAG (Medical Advisors Group).

I also provide a pro-bono independent medical assessment service for Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator, for candidates that have disabilities and require a medical assessment report to facilitate appropriate placement as first time job-seekers.
