I was admitted as an attorney in July 1996. In 1998 I began practising as a sole practitioner as Jayshree Moodley & Associates. In 2002 I began specializing in all aspects of Employment Law. I represent both Employers and Employees at Internal Disciplinary Hearings and at the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA), Bargaining Councils and Labour Court in all Employment Law related matters. I advise private Companies on their Employment Contracts, Disciplinary Codes and Procedures and Company Policies as well as on their obligations in terms of Collective Agreements at the various Bargaining Councils. I am an experienced trainer of Employment and Labour Law courses and have trained courses in Disciplinary Skills, Conflict Resolution and Negotiating Skills, Employment Equity, Con- Arb, Investigation Techniques and Report Writing for private companies and Government Departments throughout South Africa. I act as Chairperson of a number of internal disciplinary hearings for Private Institutions and Corporate Entities. I have conducted many investigations and submitted recommendations or acted as a Prosecutor of hearings for Corporate Entities. I received training as a mediator with the Mediation Institute of South Africa. I facilitated the negotiation and conclusion of recognition agreements between Unions and Management in various entities. I was as an Independent Contractor with the Department of Treasury and sit as a Chairperson of the Municipal Bids Appeal Tribunal in KZN which hears appeals against the Awards of Tenders by Municipalities in the province. I was a member of the KZN Chapter of SASLAW and served as President of SASLAW from May 2007 - May 2009. I am a Board Member of TREE and NGO in the Education Centre. In 2015, I co-founded Aequitate Professional Employment Law Solutions (Pty) Ltd, a female owned Company, of which I am also a Director, which is a specialist Employment and Labour Consultancy based in Durban.
