Nomsa has been practising as a speech and hearing therapist since 2001 and has 18 years of work experience in the field. She worked at Natalspruit as a Junior Speech and Hearing therapist. She then moved to University of Witwatersrand as a tutor in 2006. In 2008 she was employed by Gauteng Department of Education as a Deputy Chief Educational Specialist in The Inclusion and Special School's directorate and was co-ordinating the speech therapy services in all the special schools in Gauteng. She resigned in 2010 and has since been working in private practice where she mainly specialises in medico-legal work. She has seen more than 70 cases of medico-legal work on behalf of the Department of Justice as well as RAF work.
