History

Malusi Mokgata Speech and Hearing Therapist is a private medico-legal speech therapy practice, providing speech and language therapy reports for legal proceedings for children and adults. The practice has been in operation for close to 10 years now. Its founder and owner has 18 years’ experience. The experience has been amassed through pursuing the career at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital, St Andrews - National Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre (Northampton - UK) for six years and at Life Healthcare Neuro Rehabilitation Centre - Kensington (Johannesburg) for four years. Acquired communication and swallowing disorders (aphasia, motor speech disorders and dysphagia) are in particular the clinical area of expertise.

The practice is registered with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa (HPCSA), and the owner is a member of The South African Speech-Language and Hearing Association (SASLHA). Furthermore, she qualified as a Speech Therapist and Audiologist at The University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg (Wits and completed the Management Advancement Programme (MAP) at Wits Graduate School of Business Administration.
